A Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif has been shot dead in Nairobi, Kenya, after being stopped at a roadblock. Arshad Sharif, a veteran correspondent for the Daily Times newspaper in Pakistan, was on his way to a meeting when he was shot in the head. He died in hospital on Saturday. His killing has been condemned by politicians and journalists around the world.

“We condemn this brutal killing of a journalist, who was simply doing his job,” said Former Prime Minister Imran Khan. “The killing of a journalist is a matter of shame for the country.” Mr. Sharif had previously worked as a reporter for the Associated Press and Reuters news agency. He was known for his investigative reporting and his coverage of conflict zones.

Arshad Sharif was Born on 22 Feb 1973 in Karachi Sindh, Pakistan. He started his Journalist Career as a Freelancer in 1993. He Did a Master of Public Administration from Quaid e Azam University and also got a degree in Media Science from Ulster University Netherland. He worked as a News Anchor for Ary Network. Arshad Sharif’s Father Commander Muhammad Sharif died due to a Heart Attach at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology at May 2011. At that time his son Arshad was 24 years old and studying M.Sc Psychology at Lahore University of Management Sciences. His dad Muhammad Sharif died at his house at DHA Lahore on Monday night and Arshad Sharif and his mother started his journey to Pakistan Army Hospital and soon his father died.
