A Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif has been shot dead in Nairobi, Kenya, after being stopped at a roadblock. Arshad Sharif, a veteran correspondent for the Daily Times newspaper in Pakistan, was on his way to a meeting when he was shot in the head. He died in hospital on Saturday. His killing has been condemned by politicians and journalists around the world.
“We condemn this brutal killing of a journalist, who was simply doing his job,” said Former Prime Minister Imran Khan. “The killing of a journalist is a matter of shame for the country.” Mr. Sharif had previously worked as a reporter for the Associated Press and Reuters news agency.
